More than just a gay beer
Gayle is more than just an LGBT drink, or an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, Our message reaches far beyond race, sexuality or creed; it’s about embracing diversity, of accepting and celebrating everyone’s right to express their freedom’s. It’s one of unity, of family and friends. Our story is a celebration of being human.
The birth of Gayle
The Gayle brand was conceived in Australia by Virginia Buckworth and launched in 2017. Gayle stands for the belief that we can unite communities through something so quintessentially Australian as sharing a few drinks with mates. This is easily translated to the UK market! With this in mind, Gayle was created as a unique hand-crafted beer, brewed with love, proudly as the world’s first and only independently owned LGBTQ+ beverage company.
Gayle aims to being a sense of pride and a cause for acceptance as we stand together to embrace diversity, equality and self-expression.
Central to Gayle is an ethos of giving back to the LGBTQ+ community which supports us. We are a grassroots LGBTQ+ brand and we want to support our community. We don’t just want to talk about our message, we want to back it up with action.
Gayle is a proud supporter of The Albert Kennedy Trust. The trust supports LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.
